The landings
The new landings for the ferry consist of multiple gangways, stairs, and a ramp. The gangway has a total length of 75 meters, weighs 70 tons, and is made up of 5 sections. The ramps are equipped with a special protective coating, including an anti-slip layer.
All sections were transported to Amsterdam via road and water. On site, our assembly team installed the structures.

The ferry connection
The ferry connection is considered a temporary solution. The use of the ferry and its impact on traffic safety will be monitored by the municipality of Amsterdam over the next seven years. After this period, the municipality will evaluate whether the ferry connection can be converted into a permanent one. The connection officially opened in early 2023.
