To ensure a reliable electricity supply for the Netherlands now and in the future, various high-voltage substations are being upgraded and expanded. This also applies to the substation in Haaksbergen, where we are working in collaboration with TenneT and Croonwolter & Dros B.V. to modernize the outdated high-voltage substation from 1959.
The 110 kV high-voltage substation in Haaksbergen was built in 1959. To meet the current electricity demand, it was decided to demolish the existing substation and construct a new one. In 2022, a temporary substation was built, after which the old high-voltage substation was dismantled. The temporary station will remain in operation until the new HBG110 high-voltage substation is commissioned.
To meet the current electricity demand, it was decided to demolish the existing station and construct a new high-voltage substation.
Work is currently underway to complete the new HBG110 high-voltage substation. We supplied the primary steelwork for both the temporary station and the new substation. This includes support structures, gantries, lightning masts, and rail systems. Our assembly team installed these components on site.
