On behalf of TenneT, Omexom, and our sister company Kampstaal, we are constructing various steel structures for the new 150 kV electricity substation Rozenburg South.
Since 2020, no new businesses can be connected to the electricity grid in the areas of Hoofddorp, Rijsenhout, and Schiphol-Rijk, as the maximum capacity has been reached. Temporary solutions are currently being used to maintain electricity supply. Due to the growing demand for power, a new electricity substation - Rozenburg Zuid - is being constructed east of the A4 motorway. The new substation is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026. The 150 kV underground cable route, which will connect the station to the high-voltage grid, is being installed by TenneT in 2024/2025.
Our work includes the construction of the main steel structures for the transformers, the reactor cells, and the GIS halls (gas-insulated switchgear buildings). We are also producing all the steel cable trays that guide the underground power cables up to the transformers.
