Van Bentem Bluefields is a leading agricultural company located on the northeastern side of the polder. In addition to tulips, they also cultivate daffodils, crocuses, and various other flower species.
Growing these flowers and maintaining the fields requires a significant amount of energy. At Van Bentem Bluefields, they understand that generating their own solar power is an important step toward sustainability and self-sufficiency. That’s why, in 2020, they partnered with Trusteel Energy to install solar panels.
Growing these flower varieties and maintaining the fields requires a great deal of energy.
At Van Bentem Bluefields, we installed 1,160 solar panels with a total capacity of 350,000 watts. The solar panel system is connected to six SMA inverters, generating an annual output of 325,000 kWh.
