In collaboration with Ballast Nedam Parking, we started assembling the steel structure for the new Rotterdam Ahoy parking garage in May 2024. The construction of the parking garage is part of the large-scale area development Hart van Zuid. The construction of the parking garage will give a qualitative boost to the Zuidplein area. A pleasant and sustainable living environment will be created in the area with space for work, living and leisure activities. With the ultimate goal of a new vibrant city center for Rotterdam South.
Our proceedings
We are building the parking garage on the former P3 parking lot of the Ahoyplein. Here we are creating a new parking garage with 628 parking spaces. We are taking care of the entire construction, including the supply and installation of the steel structure, ramps and concrete parking deck floors. Approximately 330 tons of structural steel have been used in the parking garage, excluding auxiliary steel and fencing. We are creating the ramps together with our sister company Kamplacon, which is providing the ramps with steel plate concrete floors.
A real eye-catcher
The end result will be a real eye-catcher! A parking garage, consisting of 3 floors and a ground floor, with a three-colored aluminum anodized slatted facade. The spiral ramps of the parking garage form the entrance to Rotterdam Ahoy. The visitor experience is enhanced by unique mood lighting and an inviting transparent main staircase. The Rotterdam Ahoy parking garage is expected to be completed at the end of December 2024.
