New distribution centers, PostNL

PostNL is delivering an increasing number of parcels. The logistics infrastructure needs to be adapted accordingly. Kamplacon, together with Aan de Stegge Bedrijfshuisvesting from Twello, was commissioned to develop new distribution centers in Kolham, Den Hoorn, Goes, Halfweg, Opmeer, and Zwolle.

Less mail, more parcels.

Mail delivery has changed significantly in recent years. There is steadily less letter mail and more parcel delivery. This prompted PostNL to reorganize its logistics. The result: the current four sorting centers and 37 distribution centers will be replaced by eighteen depots.

Collaboration

Kamplacon, together with Aan de Stegge from Twello, is constructing the new sorting and distribution centers in Kolham, Den Hoorn, Goes, Halfweg, Opmeer, and Zwolle. Each depot covers approximately 5,500 square meters of industrial halls and 500 square meters of office space and features a U-shaped layout. Efficiency, safety, and sustainability were the three key values in the construction of the new depots.
