P + R Genneper parken
In collaboration with Ballast Nedam, we built the P+R Genneper Parken in 2020. The construction of the parking garage contributes to the initiative to improve air quality in the city center of Eindhoven. Located in the southern part of the city, the garage offers an ideal place for visitors to park their cars. From the parking facility, travelers can easily reach the city center by bus, shared scooter, or e-bike.
The design places great emphasis on comfort, sustainability, and integration with the natural surroundings of Genneper Parken.
The construction process
For the construction of the P+R site, Kampstaal produced and assembled the steel structure and installed the prefabricated concrete elements. Our sister company Kamplacon took care of the roof and facade cladding. The above-ground parking garage consists of five levels, accommodates 640 cars, and includes an ambulance station. The design places great emphasis on comfort, sustainability, and integration with the natural surroundings of Genneper Parken. For this reason, the lower part of the garage’s exterior is clad with ivy. The upper levels are open and have a natural appearance thanks to louvers made of sustainable materials.
