Scania Logistics, Hasselt
With locations in Zwolle and Hasselt, Scania Logistics is a key player within Scania. Recently, the Hasselt facility was expanded with a logistics hall of approximately 5,800 m². With more than half of Scania Logistics’ 650 employees based in Hasselt, the company has grown into a logistical hotspot. Thanks to its favorable location on the water, the facility now has increased capacity and space to transport parts via waterways to destinations including Sweden and Brazil.
The extension
Three adjacent buildings have been added over the past years, and the original logistics hall has now been expanded by 5,800 m². The new extension is 12 meters high and features a canopy of 2,200 m². Kamplacon supplied and installed cladding on all walls and roofs, including the canopy. In total, our team delivered and installed approximately 11,000 m² of cladding. Thanks to the new canopy, Scania Logistics employees can load and unload under cover without occupying the space inside the extension.
