In collaboration with Staalbouw Nauta Heeg, we began work on the expansion at Wajer Yachts in Heeg in October 2022. The internationally operating luxury yacht builder invested in new workspaces to scale up production capacity. In addition to a new office, two existing halls were extended. We supplied and installed all roof and wall structures for the new spaces.
As a leading family-owned business, Wajer Yachts involved local companies in the construction process. The foundation work and utility installations were outsourced to businesses from the village itself. All steel components were produced by our sister company, Staalbouw Nauta Heeg. Their assembly team handled the on-site installation of the steel structure.
On the office building, we installed 120 m² of standing seam panels — a sleek and aesthetic solution for both roof and wall structures. This profile offers a long lifespan, is low-maintenance, and lightweight. In addition, we mounted 425 m² of warm roof panels and applied 140 m² of stone wool panels to insulate the office.
As a leading family-owned company, Wajer Yachts involved local businesses in the construction process.
The expanded production halls were fitted with approximately 1,075 m² of roof panels and 1,000 m² of wall cladding made of sandwich panels. Around the building, we installed 100 meters of gutters. As an extension of the existing skylights, we added two new skylights, each measuring 25 by 4.7 meters.
The entire construction project was carried out in phases. This phased approach allowed Wajer Yachts to continue their own production activities without interruption. The new workspaces were completed in July 2023.
