At the intersection of Melkwegstraat and Saturnusstraat in The Hague, residential, commercial, hospitality and healthcare facilities come together in a single urban development. The project consists of three buildings: a residential tower approximately 75 metres high, a lower timber-built structure, and an above-ground parking garage featuring a green rooftop garden.
The Binckhorst: a multifunctional urban district
One Milky Way is taking shape in The Hague's Binckhorst district. This area development is part of the transformation of a former industrial estate into a dynamic mixed-use residential and commercial district. The project consists of three buildings: a residential tower approximately 75 metres high, a lower building, and an above-ground parking garage featuring a green rooftop garden. The development comprises more than 250 rental and owner-occupied homes, complemented by office space, hospitality facilities and a healthcare centre.
By combining these different functions, One Milky Way contributes to a vibrant urban district where a variety of amenities come together in one location. The parking garage plays an important role in this development, meeting the parking needs of residents, visitors and businesses.

Functional parking with a focus on greenery
The above-ground parking garage at One Milky Way has been designed as an integral part of an urban development. It provides parking for the surrounding homes and facilities, supporting the ambition to transform the Binckhorst into an attractive, future-oriented mixed-use district.
A distinctive feature of the design is the green rooftop garden. By combining the parking garage with green space, the building contributes not only to practical parking provision but also to the overall landscape design, creating a setting where buildings and greenery complement one another.
From engineering to installation
For the One Milky Way parking garage, we are responsible for engineering, fabrication, delivery and installation. The project requires precise coordination between the primary load-bearing structure, floors, façades and provisions for the green landscaping. TruSteel Construction makes an important contribution to the realisation of the parking garage, particularly where these different components come together.
By bringing engineering, delivery and installation together under a single contract, TruSteel Construction ensures cohesion between the various structural components. The result is a structure that provides the foundation for the further construction and finishing of the parking garage.
