TruSteel Recycling manufactured a screening drum for the Sortiva recycling plant in Alkmaar. At the waste processing company, they process waste from private individuals, companies and municipalities in an environmentally conscious way for reuse. In this way, waste materials are given a new destination as soil, construction or fuel.
3.2 by 10 meters
We started production of the screening drum body in November 2023. The screening drum has a diameter of 3.2 meters and an effective screening length of 10 meters. The drum has a capacity to process approximately 40 tons of construction and demolition material per hour. The robust design of the steel drum and the aggressive screening allow for high separation efficiency. The drum is also equipped with new drives. These drives ensure even higher efficiency.

On-site assembly
The screen drum is the replacement for a drum, also installed by TruSteel Recycling, where the technical lifespan has reached its end. In addition to the delivery, TruSteel also took care of the disassembly and assembly of the screen drums. On-site, the old drum body was disassembled after which the new screen drum was built on the existing frame.
