Ultramodern sorting facility, PreZero Groningen
A completely new turnkey installation for PreZero! In Groningen we have realized a construction and demolition waste installation for PreZero. With the new sorting installation, 50 tons of waste per hour can be processed. The entire installation contains more than 50 components, including a pre-sorting drum, a 3D screening drum, 3 air separators and a bunker belt manufactured by TruSteel Recycling.
The installation consists of several components
The entire sorting installation is equipped with various components to promote the sorting process. Vibrating chutes, magnets, shredders, nirs, compressors, extractors and various drums are installed to separate materials from each other.
The new sorting facility can process 50 tons of waste per hour.
It all starts with the pre-sorting drum
The pre-sorting drum is installed next to the space where the incoming construction and demolition waste is unloaded. This allows the material to be loaded directly into the pre-sorting drum. The drum screens material smaller than 400 mm. Material larger than 400 mm is transported to a shredder. A magnet is used to remove the metal parts from the construction and demolition waste.
3D Screen Drum and Zephyr Air Separators
The 3.2x10 meter 3D screening drum consists of 8 sections. The drum screens the material smaller than 80mm. The material with a size between 80 and 350mm is discharged to double air separators and the heavy fraction, which remains, is considered as rubble fraction.
With the completion of the ultra-modern sorting facility for construction and demolition waste, PreZero can process larger volumes and convert more waste flows into raw materials for new products.
