Stainless steel filter drum, Cosun Beet Company

The Cosun Beet Company works to extract everything that it possibly can from sugar beet, from sugar for consumers and industry to sugar for innovative applications. Our job was to produce a stainless steel filter drum for the company, formerly known as Suiker Unie, to aid its operations. The previous drum had reached the end of its useful life and so was replaced with a new high-tech version.

Completely recyclable

The new stainless steel filter drum has a lengthy service life and is fully recyclable. Our client processes sugar beet into white sugar and molasses. Our drum works to extract the juice from the residue, which is then returned to the production process. The final end product is used as a fertiliser in agriculture. The filter drum has a diameter of around 3.5 metres and a length of around 4.5 metres.
