Bart Haaijer has been appointed the new operational director at Vossebelt with immediate effect, taking the reins from former director Wouter Faber. In his role as operational director, Bart Haaijer also gains a place in the management team of parent company GB Steel Group.

The promotion to operational director is a huge step in Bart Haaijer’s career at the GB Steel Group. Bart has worked at Machinefabriek Emmen for more than fifteen years, the last five as managing director. In his new role as operational director, he will manage both engineering and production at Vossebelt as well as at MF Emmen. Pooling knowledge means that we can give our customers better bespoke mechanical engineering solutions. This appointment is an important next step in the professional evolution of Vossebelt. Over the coming years, we aim to strengthen our market position by further expanding our current range of products. In addition, we will also be intensifying cooperation with the other machine manufacturer in the group, Machinefabriek Emmen. Together, we will be developing new products and aligning production techniques to help improve overall efficiency.

Current manager Wouter Faber will cease his work for Vossebelt in March and step back from his role as technical director of GB Steel Group. Since joining in 2008, Wouter Faber has had a significant impact on Vossebelt’s development. We are very grateful to Wouter for all the work that he has done. We regret his departure but fully respect his decision to embark on new challenges and wish him every success.
