We are pleased to be able to present the GB Steel Group’s online annual report. This annual report details our activities over the past financial year and our vision for the years ahead.

Review

In 2022, we faced an unprecedented series of external events. At the start of the year, COVID-19 still had us in its grip before our attention quickly turned to the war in Ukraine. In addition to the people suffering in Ukraine, the war has had a significant effect on the economy, including scarcity and rising prices. Despite the headwinds, the year was still a success and we managed to produce favourable results, as our turnover attests, rising by 39% to EUR 100 million for the first time in the group’s history. It is, admittedly, a slight fall in margin in percentage terms, but considering the crises the world faced, we as a group feel nothing but satisfaction with the result.

Outlook

The future also looks good. Our financial health, full order book and professionalism provide an impressive basis to capitalise on the opportunities the market has to offer. Leading new projects are set to begin development, construction and completion in the new year, including bridges, data centres, recycling systems, car parks, distribution centres and bespoke solutions for the transport industry.

Curious about our work? We have a lot to say about the year 2022. Our annual report details the projects that have worked on over the year, the successes that we’ve enjoyed and what we have planned for the future.
