TruSteel Group sells Vossebelt to GS Meppel
Emmeloord / Geesbrug, 08-07-2026 – On Friday, June 19 2026, TruSteel Group transferred its subsidiary Vossebelt to GS Meppel. With this step, Vossebelt gains a new owner who aligns closely with the company’s positioning, market, and growth potential.
Vossebelt has been part of TruSteel Group for quite some time and has developed within the group into a reputable player in transport solutions, including tippers and containers. The organization is known for its strong brand, craftsmanship, and practical, customer-focused solutions.
In recent years, TruSteel Group has further sharpened its strategic direction, with a clear focus on construction, infrastructure, and industry. More than 350 professionals work together daily on a wide range of projects both nationally and internationally. The group is active in commercial construction, with expertise in steel structures, roof and wall systems, and sustainable energy solutions. In infrastructure, TruSteel delivers projects such as bridges, locks, mooring facilities, and fendering systems. Within the industrial sector, the group supplies constructions for ports and heavy industry, solutions for defense, and steel for the onshore and offshore energy sector. Despite Vossebelt’s strong market position, its activities were less aligned with the group’s current core business strategy.
“We are extremely proud of what Vossebelt has achieved within our group. It produces impressive and robust products—visually striking on the road while offering a high level of functionality. At the same time, we believe that the strength of Vossebelt—its brand, products, and market approach—will be better realized within a strategic supply chain partner fully focused on transport solutions,” said Bob Soetekouw, CEO of TruSteel Group.
GS Meppel, a specialist in the development and production of trailers and semi-trailers, provides the right strategic environment for Vossebelt’s next phase of growth, according to TruSteel Group. The combination of production capacity, market access, and supply chain integration enables further development and expansion of Vossebelt’s potential. With this acquisition, GS Meppel and Vossebelt can continue building toward a broader customer base and comprehensive solutions. “The Geesbrug location is a strong strategic asset, offering further growth opportunities,” said Anton Meurs, owner of GS Meppel.
Continuity for Vossebelt’s employees, customers, and partners remains assured. During the transition period, TruSteel Group will provide support where necessary, including in ICT and organizational matters, to ensure a smooth transfer. With this transaction, TruSteel Group takes the next step in refining its strategy and strengthening its position in its core markets. At the same time, Vossebelt is given the opportunity to further develop within GS Meppel in an environment that closely matches its DNA and market focus.
